The Department:
We are responsible for the development, delivery, and management of a variety of recreation programs and public facilities within Caroline County. These include amenities and outcomes such as: Instructional sport and fitness programs, Community events, Afterschool program services, Athletic facilities, Public waterways access, Arts development programs, Playgrounds and walking trails, Community partnerships, Youth Camps and Trips. About the Job:
Positions located at 5 elementary schools in Caroline County. Summer Camp Jr. and Sr. Program Leaders. Ages 16 yrs. and older (or completed 10
th
grade). Able to commit to 5 weeks of camp, as well as professional development between June 15 and June 24 and post-camp debrief. Camp runs June 27-July 28, Monday-Thursday.
Experience:
Interested in academics, sports/fitness, arts & crafts.
Required Knowledge and Skill:
Experience working with children.
Able to be creative and flexible.
Generate a fun learning environment for students.
Provide positive encouragement for students.
Good communication skills
Respectful of the school environment.
Salary:
Hourly rate $12.50 - $17.00 based on experience/education level.
