Hey , starting on May 2 at noon , you can buy the Zachary Taylor Presidential Silver Medal directly from the United States Mint . This guy was the 12th President of the US , serving from 1849 to 1850 . The Mint has a tradition of making bronze medals for each President , and now they ' re making them in silver too . The medal has Taylor ' s face on one side with his name and the year he was President . On the other side , there are two hands clasped together symbolizing peace and friendship . Each medal comes with a Certificate of Authenticity and costs $65 . You can also sign up for a subscription to get future medals in the series .
