Port Commissioner Ken Bell has been selected by the Commission to serve as President of the Board of Commissioners for 2024 . Commissioner Michael Shepard was chosen to be Vice President and Bobby Briscoe was selected for Secretary .

   Washington Public Ports Association: Ken Bell
   Whatcom County Economic Development Investment Program Committee: Ken Bell
   Regular Port Commission meeting times start at 4:00 p . m . in the Harbor Center Conference Room located at 1801 Roeder Avenue , Bellingham , WA unless posted otherwise .
   Participation in Port Commission meetings is also offered using Zoom video conferencing . Information on how to participate using Zoom is included with each meeting

   The 2024 Commission meeting schedule is as follows: January 9 and 23 , February 6 and 20 , March 5 and 19 , April 9 and 23 , May 7 and 21 , June 4 and 18 , July 16 , August 13 , September 3 and 17 , October 1 and 15 , November 5 and 19 , and December 17 .  
   An essential part of the Board of Commissioners’ decision - making process is public input . Two public comment periods are included as part of all regularly scheduled Commission meetings . The Commission accepts public comment when Commission meetings start at 4:00 pm and at the end of the meeting . Written comments are always welcome and can be submitted by email to
