Police Officer
for the Phoenixville Borough Police Department.

Annual starting salary of $98,624.66 (scaled beginning at 84% the first year). Pension Plan, Medical and Hospitalization Insurance, Fringe Benefits.
General Requirements: United States citizen, high school diploma or equivalency certificate, and must meet all Civil Service requirements.
MUST HAVE COMPLETED A COURSE OF TRAINING AS IS REQUIRED BY THE MUNICIPAL POLICE OFFICER'S EDUCATION AND TRAINING PROGRAM, ACT 120 P.L. 359, ENACTED JUNE 18, 1974 ("ACT 120").
Age and Residency Requirements: All applicants must have reached their eighteenth (18
th
) birthday before the deadline for submitting completed applications. Police Officers must reside within twenty-five (25) miles of the perimeter of the Borough of Phoenixville, at the time of hire (or at a minimum upon completion of the hiring probationary period).
Completed application must be filed with the Civil Service Commission. All applications must be sent via USPS, UPS or FEDEX to Borough Hall, 351 Bridge Street, Second Floor, Phoenixville, PA 19460. They must be received no later than 4:00 P.M., Thursday, March 31, 2022 for consideration.
The physical agility test will be conducted on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 9:00 A.M. The standards for successfully completing the physical agility are listed at
https://mpoetc.psp.pa.gov/
using the thirtieth percentile (30%). Applicants that pass the physical agility test will take the written exam the same date at 12:00 P.M. Other mandatory components of the test are an oral examination scheduled for April 30, 2022, background investigation, medical examination and psychological examination. A complete copy of the Phoenixville Civil Service Commission’s Rules and Regulations, as they relate to the Police Department’s hiring policy, are available upon request.
