Fredericksburg Virginia - Pipeline Maintenance Work begins Monday 5 23 in Mayfield 20 May 2022 ( news )

The Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration ( PHMSA ) has deemed it necessary to investigate and repair anomalies on the existing 12” pipeline located in the City right - of - way . Kinder Morgan/Products Pipeline Company will be performing two ( 2 ) maintenance work/anomaly digs . This maintenance work will take place on Frazier Street and on Howard Avenue ( near the intersection of Airport Avenue ) , and is anticipated to start on or about May 23 , 2022 , and will last several weeks . Due to the locations of excavation , traffic lane closures and/or pedestrian detours may be required . City Inspectors will monitor the excavation and the maintenance of pedestrian and vehicular traffic to ensure proper procedures are followed and resident access is maintained .
