Lompoc California - Pick up an Early Literacy Book Bundle 23 January 2024 ( news )

LOMPOC , CA , January 23 , 2024 – The Library Public Lompoc and the Village Library have nearly 40 different early literacy book bundles available in English and Spanish for patrons to borrow with their library card .
The bundles , previously known as “read together kits” , each contain three to six picture or board books and an informational sheet all in one bag . These bags are ideal for parents and early - learning providers to share with babies , toddlers , and preschoolers in group or one - on - one settings .
Themes of the early literacy book bundles include shapes and colors , sound and movement , animals , nature , food , families , feelings , friendship , communities , school , counting , and STEAM ( science , technology , engineering , art , and mathematics ) . These kits are available thanks to funding by the U . S . Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act , administered in California by the State Librarian .
