I. The Position:
Take people where they need to go! Are you a customer service-minded person who enjoys driving? The City needs an individual to safely drive a van or bus and coordinate transportation plans for patrons of the Public Transportation Program. In this position you will:
Coordinate routing and pick-up of passengers, including children, elderly and/or disabled.
Be responsible for safety of passengers getting on and off van or bus including operating wheelchair lift.
Collect fares, handle cash, maintain passenger logs, and use radio or phone to communicate with dispatch.

II. About the Position Type
This position is 25 hours per week with part-time benefits including vacation, sick leave, holiday and optional dental and vision insurance.
III. Location and Hours
This position is located at the Public Works Facility at 1313 W. 1
st
Street and is scheduled between
6:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday thru Friday with possible limited evening and weekend hours.
IV. Need to Have
Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent.
Must be 21 years or older.
Preferred candidate will have both driving and basic clerical experience.
V. Special Requirements
Must possess a valid Nebraska state driver’s license and successfully pass background checks including driving, criminal background, and pre-employment drug screening. Must be able to obtain CPR certification.
