   Spring Sports
   Registration is open for League City residents for our Spring Sports!
   Astronomy in the Park
   Join us January 6 for Astronomy in the Park at Rustic Oaks Park from 7 to 9:30 p . m . We encourage those attending to bring binoculars if you have them . Astronomy in the Park will run through September 2023 through June 2024 on the first Saturday of each month . This program is run by Daniel Roy .
   Daddy Daughter Dance Registration
   Come dance the night away with our Daddy Daughter Dance! We will have two nights to pick from: January 27 or February 2 . Registration is open for League City residents and will open December 27 at 8 a . m . for non - residents . The theme this year is Hollywood!

   Hobby Fair
   Join us January 20 from 9 a . m . to Noon at the League City Community Center: 400 S . Kansas Ave . for our Hobby Fair! Instructors from Parks and Recreation and the Library will have booths and information about many of the classes and activities they offer throughout the year . This is a great opportunity to meet the instructors before registering , ask questions , and get a first look at the new programs and workshops offered in 2024 .

   Registration for our Spring Recreation Programs and Swim Lessons open January 10 at 8 a . m . for League City residents .

   Computer Coding Class
   We are currently offering Taste of Code Ninjas and Homeschool Coding Classes . Unleash your child ' s imagination . Create , play and learn at their own pace as they gain skills in coding and problem solving . Learn to code and have a blast while building awesome video games . Get support and encouragement from our instructors .  
   Taste of Code Ninjas
     Mondays , January 8 to February 5 ( no class 1/15 ) from 6 - 7 p . m . for kids 6 - 14 years . The session fee is $125 . Register today!
   Homeschool Coding Classes
    Tuesdays , January 9 to 30  from 1 to 2 p . m . for kids 6 - 14 years . The session fee is $125 . Register today!
   Irish Dance Class
   Interesting in learning how to Irish Dance? Join us for our next session on Tuesdays , January 9 to 30! Come learn the basics of Irish dance in a fun , family - friendly environment . Class time for beginners is 6 to 7 p . m . and for inter . /adv . is 7 to 8 p . m . Class is open to ages 6 and older . The session fee is $80 . Register today!
   Fencing
   En Garde! Join us for our next session of Fencing , Jan . 4 to 25 , and learn techniques of the sword in a fun and safe environment . Class meets on Thursdays .  Registration is open . The registration fee is $65 .  
    Youth , Ages 7 - 10: 6 to 7 p . m .
   Cadet , Ages 11 and older: 7 to 8 p . m .
   Competitive , Ages 13 and older: 8 to 9 p . m .
   Classes will be held at the Community Center: 400 S . Kansas Ave .
   Musical Production
   Dates:Mondays
   February 5 to May 19 ( no class 3/11 )
   Class on 2/5 , 2/12 , 2/19 and 2/26 will be held at the Community Center
   Time:5 to 6:30 p . m .
   Ages:6 to 17 years
   Cost:
    $225 per child ( 10% discount for each additional child )
   Location
   : Hometown Heroes Park 
   Production class is designed for advanced students who want to devote more time and energy into a full production . Class size is limited . Tech rehearsals will be held on May 16 and 17 from 5 to 7 p . m . Invite your family and friends to the production on May 18 and 17 at 5 p . m .
   Auditions will be held on either Saturday January 13 or Sunday , January 14 between 2 - 4 p . m . Participants will be able to sign up for a 30 minute time slot on either day . There will be a max of 10 people per time slot . To sign up for a time slot , visit the 
   activity page .
   Audition requirements: Come in prepared to sing a verse and chorus of anything you feel comfortable with . You can use a backing track on a phone or sing a capella . You might be asked to read lines from a script . Callbacks for specific characters will be held during class . If the production class fills up or isn’t a great fit , please sign up for our Musical Theatre class!
