The City of Verona is currently recruiting for a Public Works Director . The Public Works Director is responsible for planning , supervising , and coordinating the activities of the Public Works Department subject to the general direction of the Public Works , Sewer and Water Committee and the City Administrator .  The position involves administrative responsibility for water , sewer , and storm water utilities , the maintenance and construction of sanitary and storm sewers , water utility infrastructure , street and highway maintenance and construction , snow and ice removal , refuse and recycling collection , and public parking lot construction and maintenance .  The Director of Public Works supervises the Assistant Director of Public Works , Streets Superintendent , Utility Billing Clerk , and Construction Supervisor .
