Fritz Ribary , A Life Dedicated to Family and Public Service in Snoqualmie Valley:
The City of North Bend Council , Mayor and staff are deeply saddened by the passing of former Mayor Fritz Ribary . Fritz was a dedicated public servant , having served as Mayor of North Bend from 1988 to 1992 . Throughout his life , Fritz also served North Bend as a local fire fighter and volunteer EMT , a City Planning Commissioner , and a City Councilmember .

The City of North Bend is grateful for the many teams that work together to make life healthy , safe and highly livable . This week , we recognize three groups in particular:
North Bend Public Works
: Public Works helps build and nurture local infrastructure here in North Bend . Water , streets and stormwater , sewer and wastewater treatment , parks and grounds , public building maintenance and more - they do it all .
Snoqualmie - North Bend Police
: Our police force helps keep our valley safe , and National Police Week pays special tribute to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others .
Eastside Fire and Rescue
: ESF - R is vital to emergency medicine and saving lives here in North Bend and many other communities on the eastside . National EMS Week gives recognition to the essential needs our front line medical responders provide .

Your Next North Bend Yard Waste Recycling Event is May 21

The City of North Bend’s next 2022 North Bend Yard Waste Recycling program is set for Saturday , May 21
st
. This annual recycling program is open to North Bend residents and property owners on select Saturdays through October , from 8:00 a . m . to 12:00 p . m . at the North Bend Public Works building , located at 1155 E . North Bend Way . NOTE: Please enter through City Hall , located at 920 SE Cedar Falls Way .
Trailhead Direct Returns to North Bend on Memorial Day Weekend:
Trailhead Direct is returning to North Bend , beginning Saturday , May 28
th
, just in time for Memorial Day weekend . Service will run Saturdays and Sundays through September 11
th
, with additional service on Memorial Day , Independence Day and Labor Day .
Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley Announces Community Grant Awards
:
This month , the Rotary Club of Snoqualmie Valley selected 13 community organizations to receive $14 , 000 in grants ranging from $500 to $2 , 000 . North Bend non - profits organizations recipients include Helping Hands Ministry , Mama’s Hands , Mt . Si Senior Center , North Bend Community Theatre , Si View Community Foundation , and Trail Youth .
