POLICE INCIDENTS REPORT
PURCELLVILLE , Va . April 29 , 2022
04/22/22 5:30 p . m . 801 E . Main Street Trespassing
The owner of the former Rite Aid building found multiple juveniles inside the property . Additionally , he discovered that one of the juveniles deployed a fire extinguisher inside and opened a vending machine and removed parts . In total six juveniles aged 13 - 14 were found in the building . They reported that while skateboarding in the back lot , they found an open door and went inside . One rode his bike , in addition to the actions noted above by one of the other kids . Parents were called and responded to the scene and picked up their respective children . All offered to pay for the damages and have their children clean the inside of the building . The owner of the building left the scene prior to the arrival of the parents to attend to other business , but will meet with the investigating officer at a later date to discuss actions moving forward .

Street Hit and Run
The victim was in his car stopped at the red light on W . bound Main Street at 23
rd
Street , when his car was struck from behind . A bearded man approached the vehicle , checked on his welfare and walked away . No information was provided and the suspect vehicle left the scene . While the victim was unable to provide a description , another officer upon hearing of the accident , reported that while on his way to work , he observed a white vehicle , possibly VW Jetta with heavy front end damage traveling West bound on business route 7 .

04/23/22 7:13 p . m . Purcellville Road and Nichols Lane DUI
An officer conducting speed enforcement on N . Hatcher Avenue clocked a car at 42 mph in a 25 mph zone . He stopped that car and upon approach noted the odor of alcoholic beverage and noted slurred speech by the driver when responding to questions . She indicated that she had been working at a wine festival but had not had anything to drink recently . She attempted and failed a battery of sobriety tests and was arrested . At the Adult Detention Center , she took a breathalyzer test the yielded a result of . 15 . She was order to be held until sober .
04/23/22 11:00 p . m . 700 Block of E . Main Street Warrant Service
The Leesburg PD requested that the Purcellville Police check for a subject for whom they had a felony warrant and an Emergency Protective Order . Purcellville officers located the subject at his place of employment and arrested him without incident . He was transported to the Adult Detention Center , where he was ordered held without bond .
04/24/22 2:22 p . m . 126 . N . Maple Ave Mental Health Crisis
A subject having an apparent mental health issue was inside a restaurant . Police and medics responded and found a subject , who was not a danger to himself or others , but was in distress . He refused offers of treatment by medics , bet agreed to exit the restaurant . An officer was able to coax a number for the subject’s brother , who responded to the scene and took custody of the subject . He reported that his brother functions fine while on his meds , but stops taking them when he feels well .
04/25/22 9:36 a . m . 613 Block of E . Main Street Mental Health Consumer
The owner of Twiggs reported that a subject was sitting at a furniture display on the front porch , eating a sandwich and smoking a cigarette . He stubbed out the cigarette stub on the table and left . She watched him walk into several other businesses in the plaza and called police to have a trespassing notice served . The responding officer learned that the man worked at a business in the plaza but was on his day off . He also learned that the man was a group home resident and responded there to speak with him . He apologized for his actions and told the officer that he was afraid that the woman at Twiggs was going to yell at him . The thought of that upset him greatly . The officer informed the owner of Twiggs of the circumstances and she immediately withdrew her original request for service of a trespassing notice .
04/25/22 8:35 p . m . 900 Block of Serenity Grove Court Assist Fire and Rescue
ECC received a report of a car into Misty Pond . Police , Fire and Rescue units responded . No vehicle was found in the pond although there were tire marks in the grass leading to the pond . Eventually a witness was located who reported that a car went over the curb into the grass , but did not go into the pond .
04/27/22 6:11 p . m . 600 Block of Elliot Drive Check on Welfare
The complainant called police after discovering that her fiancé ordered Xanax tablets on EBay . Given his past history of drug abuse she was concerned that he had relapsed . The subject left the residence prior to police arrival , but an officer found him on Maple Avenue and returned him home . The parties were going to the ER where the subjected hoped to be medically cleared and admitted to a drug treatment facility .
04/28/22 3:37 p . m . 105 Purcellville Gateway Suspicious Incident
The complainant reported that she initiated a break up with a man in 2021 . There were subsequent electronic contacts initiated by him but nothing in person until today . On this date , he entered her place of employment and followed her around the store , but never got close and never made any statements , but sent her a text stating , “I can see you” He did however , ask the store manager if he could speak to her . The store manager declined and encouraged the subject to leave . He was gone prior to police arrival .
04/28/22 4:26 p . m . 100 Block of N . Maple Drive Disorderly Conduct
Two people were vacuuming and drying their respective vehicles when one used a hose to wash off her floor mats and accidentally splashed water onto the other party’s’ truck . That set him off in a rage and he approached the woman in a menacing manner , yelling and gesticulating . He also stepped into a puddle and attempted to splash water onto her vehicle , and while his feeble attempt failed , he may have actually kicked her bumper . An employee attempted to intervene and the subject turned his ire towards him and a face to face yelling match ensued . After apparently running out of invective , the subject found the young assistant manager and demanded the immediate termination , of employment , not life , of the other employee . He received a non - committal response , but waited for 20 minutes for some action to occur . As nothing took place , the subject left the car wash in his oversized pick - up . The police were called after his departure and were able to watch the entire incident on the security camera system . The matter is under investigation with the outcome pending contact with the other party .
