05/13/22 12:13 p . m . 300 Block of E . Main St . Vehicle Tampering
The complainant parked his vehicle at 2:00 p . m . on May 11 , 2022 . At approximately 10:30 p . m . , he got into his car and noticed that his rear window was damaged and that his driver door handle was stuck and would not open . It did not appear that entry was made into the car .

Street Full Trash Dumpsters
The complainant reported that the dumpsters at the Purcellville East Apartments were overflowing with trash and that there were two refrigerators next to the dumpsters . The responding officer found no staff in the management office or anywhere else on the property . He placed the refrigerators were face down , preventing easy opening . Photos were taken and shared with the Zoning Department .
Update: Officers responded back the following day and made contact with an employee and obtained the contact information for the owner . The dumpsters were to full to be emptied , so another dumpster was off - loaded so that the trash can be redistributed and eventually emptied .
05/13/22 7:54 p . m . Telephone Fraud
The complainant reported that he received a text alert that he believed was from his bank , inquiring if he had just attempted to transfer $2000 via the Zell app . He responded “No” and shortly thereafter received a phone call from a person reporting to be an employee from the bank’s fraud department . He complied with a request to send $2000 to a subject named “Dylan Sprouse” to confirm that he did not attempt the original transfer and was the lawful account holder . After making the transfer , he received an e - mail from his actual bank , confirming that money was sent to “Sanaa Pierre . ” Noting the different name , he called his bank and discovered that he was the victim of a fraud . The bank froze his accounts and he placed a fraud alert with the three credit bureaus .

05/14/22 6:41 a . m . 860 E . Main Street Commercial Burglary
An officer on patrol noticed that the front door at the Tobacco Flex shop had been smashed in . Video evidence revealed that the subjects broke the front door , and entered and exited in less than one minute . Assorted vaping products were taken . Detectives from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office were contacted and the investigation is on - going .
05/14/22 3:03 p . m . 17000 Block of Pickwick Drive Police Information
A subject who was moving asked police to collect and destroy a rifle that he no longer wanted . An officer collected the firearm , confirmed that is was neither stolen part of another police investigation and submitted it for destruction .
05/14/22 4:07 p . m . 609 E . Main Street Disorderly Conduct
The complainant reported that multiple juveniles entered the Dollar Tree , picked up balls that were for sale and started throwing them at and to each other . These actions interfered with the shopping of customers , many who were elderly . When the manager and a customer asked them to stop , the juveniles became” mouthy” and disrespectful . They eventually left , taking a shopping cart and went to McDonalds , where officers located them . After an initial denial , they admitted to the aforementioned activity . Parents were called and responded to pick up their children . Parental not criminal justice was to follow .
05/14/22 10:15 p . m . Town of Purcellville Runway Juvenile
A juvenile , who is also a mental health consumer , left home without the permission of his mother . While police were present , a concerned citizen in Hamilton called ECC in reference to a self - reported runaway who arrived at her residence . Police responded and took the juvenile home .
On 5 - 15 - 22 , police responded to the residence for an assault in which the juvenile , holding a pair of garden shears , threatened to do harm to his mother . This behavior was consistent with the juveniles on - going mental health struggles . Officers spoke to the juvenile and his parents , who desired that he remain in the residence as his threats have always been idle . Juvenile intake and metal health authorities were consulted . Officers cleared the scene .
Later that evening officers responded back as the juvenile had eloped once again . He was quickly located and a plan was developed in which the parents would seek voluntarily commitment to a mental health facility . An officer transported the juvenile , who wanted to go to a structured program , to the hospital and remained until his parents arrived . The juvenile was admitted and officers left the hospital .
05/15/22 7:56 a . m . 900 Block of E . Main Street Lost Property
The complainant reported that on May 14
th
, she placed her clutch purse on the roof of her car while loading a child into a car seat . She drove off , forgetting about her purse . Another driver observed the purse fly off of the roof of the car , and watched as some passerby picked it up . As of this report , no charges were placed on the reporting party’s credit card .
05/15/22 9:15 p . m . Town of Purcellville Runaway Juvenile
A preteen juvenile who had been acting out towards his mother and siblings was sent to his room . It was later discovered that he left the house without permission . His mother checked around town for 45 minutes without success in locating him and then called police . Purcellville officers and LCSO deputies searched the area . An off - duty dispatcher reported seeing a subject matching the juvenile’s description near the rear of the complex . Officers converged on the area and located the subject , who may have been returning to his residence . He was taken home where he remained as of this report .

Street Police Information
A subject followed a town vehicle through the gate into the town maintenance facility . The employee directed the subject to leave , but he stopped inside the gate near the exit . He was disoriented so police and medics were called . The subject was transported to the hospital , where he found to have had a panic attack and anxiety . A dog that was in the back seat of the subject’s car was turned over to the subject’s ex - wife .

Street Domestic Assault
The complaint reported to her school counselor and the school SRO that she was the victim of domestic violence at the hands of her mother , not only on this date but also on prior occasions . She reported that she and her mother came to an agreement in which she will stay with her friend , until a longer term plan for a more permanent relocation with her grandparents can be arranged . Representatives from Child Protective Services responded and are developing a formal safety plan . They along with the investigating officer responded to the residence , but were unable to locate the mother . Another attempt will be made the following day .
Update:
Police were called to the residence , as the daughter did not go to her friend’s home as planned and instead went home . She fled from the residence at 11:23 p . m . Officers located here at LVHS and after some back and forth with her mother , the daughter went to her friend’s home to spend the night .
05/16/22 7:33 p . m . 100 Block of S . Maple Avenue Vandalism
The reporting party discovered that someone threw and egg and struck a window on the south side of the residence . There was no permanent damage and no suspects at this time .
05/18/22 3:52 p . m . 125 Hirst Road Police information
The complaint reported to police that on 5/17/22 , she was struck by a bicyclist on the W and OD trail . Both suffered injuries and exchanged information . She reported this incident to police because the cyclist has not returned her phone calls .

Street DUI
Officers investigating a single car crash noted signs of intoxication from the driver . He took and failed a battery of test and was arrested . He refused to take a breathalyzer test and was charged with DUI and unlawful refusal .
