PURCELLVILLE , Va . , May 6 , 2022

   More than 2 , 500 people gathered to enjoy the Purcellville Music and Arts Festival on Saturday , April 30 at the Bush Tabernacle and Fireman’s Field complex .  From noon to 7 p . m . , festival - goers had the opportunity to enjoy more than 20 live performances on four different stages , view more than 60 works of art from local artists , browse vendor displays , wine and dine on local food and drink , and 
   participate in a variety of activities .    
   Throughout the day , there were performances by more than 20 local bands , musicians , and dance groups on the art hall stage , community stage , gazebo stage , and main stage .  Performers included Sheltered , Juliana MacDowell , King St . , Hard Swimmin’ Fish , Chris Timbers , Talton Brothers , The Retrones , Virginia Hipnecks , Ben Demase , Emily Dickson , Penelope Adkins , Caleb Hacker , Willie White , Bryan Baxter , Bach to Rock , Blue Ridge Thunder Cloggers , Celtic Rhythm School of Dance , the Dance Academy of Loudoun , Downe Lands , Misneach Irish Dance Academy , and The Shamrockers . More than 30 local artists were featured in the Art Hall located inside the Bush Tabernacle where people also had a chance to create their own work of art for the Purcellville Arts Council’s clothesline art show . Near the main festival entrance , attendees could watch artist Penny Hauffe create a temporary chalk art mural , and even try their hand drawing with sidewalk chalk .
   Festival - goers were able to browse more than 30 vendor displays throughout the grounds and shop at the Western Loudoun Farmers Market which extended its hours to 5 p . m . for the day . Other popular activities included face - painting , glitter tattoos , and t - shirt decorating . Kids also had a chance to win prizes playing carnival games and completing a festival scavenger hunt .
