   I - 80 lane closures in both directions tonight for overhead sign replacement in Paterson , Passaic County
   Temporary stoppages also required tonight in both directions
    ( Trenton ) –I - 80 is scheduled to have lane closures and temporary stoppages in both directions tonight for overhead sign replacement in Paterson , Passaic County .
   Beginning at 8 p . m . tonight , Friday , February 2 until 8 a . m . tomorrow , Saturday , February 3 , lane closures and temporary stoppages are scheduled on I - 80 in both directions between the Route 20 interchange and Exit 57C/Main Street in Paterson .
   I - 80 westbound
   lane closures between the Route 20 interchange and Exit 57C/Main Street
   From 8 p . m . tonight until 8 a . m . tomorrow , the left lane is scheduled to be closed . From 10 p . m . tonight until 8 a . m . tomorrow , the left and center lanes will be closed .
   I - 80 eastbound lane closures between Exit 57C/Main Street and the Route 20 interchange
   From 8 p . m . tonight until 6 a . m . tomorrow , the right lane is scheduled to be closed .
   10 to 15 - minute temporary stoppages in both directions
   Between 11:59 p . m . tonight until 5 a . m . Saturday morning , there will be 10 to 15 - minunte temporary stoppages on I - 80 in both directions between the Route 20 interchange and just before Exit 57C/Main Street/Paterson to remove the existing sign structure . Motorists should use caution , expect delays , or consider alternate routes .
   The $9 . 3 million state - funded project will replace sign structures on various routes in Bergen , Passaic , Morris , Mercer , Camden , Ocean , Union and Essex counties . The project is expected to be completed in fall 2024 .
   The precise timing of the work is subject to change due to weather or other factors . Motorists are encouraged to check NJDOT’s traffic information website
