The Nevada Department of Transportation ( NDOT ) has
released a videodetailing upcoming changes at the I - 15/Tropicana Project , including a temporary configuration for the Super Bowl and the kickoff of Dropicana 2 . 0 . Upcoming restrictions include two full closures of Tropicana Ave and a full closure of I - 15 from the night of Friday , Feb . 16 to the morning of Monday , Feb . 19 .
Tropicana Ave Full Closure: Saturday , Jan . 27 at 1:00 a . m . to Thursday , Feb . 1 at 9:00 a . m .
Tropicana Ave fully closed between New York - New York and Dean Martin Dr .
All on/off ramps at I - 15 & Tropicana Ave closed
Closure is necessary to prepare Tropicana Ave for a temporary configuration for the Super Bowl
Temporary Super Bowl Configuration: Thursday , Feb . 1 at 9:00 a . m . to Wednesday , Feb . 14 at 9:00 p . m .
East - and westbound Tropicana Ave: Three lanes in each direction
Temporary replacement of diverging diamond interchange
New access from southbound I - 15 to westbound Tropicana Ave & westbound Tropicana Ave to northbound I - 15
No left turns allowed due to a height difference between the north and south sections of the Tropicana Ave bridge . Traffic cannot cross bridge sections .
Tropicana Ave Full Closure: Wednesday , Feb . 14 at 9:00 p . m . to Tuesday , Feb . 20 at 5:00 a . m .
Tropicana Ave fully closed between New York - New York and Dean Martin Dr .
All on/off ramps at I - 15 & Tropicana Ave closed
Closure is necessary to prepare Tropicana Ave for Phase 3 of construction , return the temporary diverging diamond interchange movement , and prepare for Dropicana 2 . 0
Dropicana 2 . 0: Friday , Feb . 16 at 9:00 p . m . to Monday , Feb . 19 at 5:00 a . m .
I - 15 fully closed in both directions between Russell Rd and Flamingo Rd
Tropicana Ave fully closed in both directions between NYNY and Dean Martin Dr
All on/off ramps at I - 15 & Tropicana Ave closed
Additional ramp closures:
Flamingo Rd onramp to southbound I - 15
Harmon Ave ramps at I - 15
Northbound I - 15 access to Arena Dr
Russell Rd onramp to northbound I - 15
I - 215 ramps to northbound I - 15
Las Vegas Blvd onramp to northbound I - 15
Dropicana 2 . 0 includes the demolition of the south half of the Tropicana Ave bridge over I - 15 . The scope is similar to closures implemented in January 2023 . NDOT expects Dropicana 2 . 0 to be a regional traffic event . Drivers are advised to avoid I - 15 between the Las Vegas Spaghetti Bowl and the I - 215 interchange between the night of Feb . 16 and the morning of Feb . 19 , if possible .
