Sausalito Un - More Wet Weather on the Way 26 January 2024 ( news )

   Sausalito avoided serious impacts from the storm that swept through town over the weekend of January 20 , but 
   another one is on the way
    .
   The approaching storm is predicted by the 
   National Weather Service
    to arrive in Southern Marin on the night of Tuesday , January 30 and continue through Thursday , February 1 , bringing with it as many as two inches of rain and winds from the south approaching 20 mph .
   If you have property that is subject to runoff or flooding , free sand and heavy - duty bags are available from the City of Sausalito at the 
   MLK Parking Lot
    . Shovels for filling sandbags are also on site .
   During the storm , if you see significant runoff on a slope that is not typically used for drainage , it could be due to a blockage or diversion of water from its regular course somewhere upstream . Please report these instances to Public Works via 
   online form
    or by calling ( 415 ) 289 - 4106 . If you feel the situation constitutes an emergency , call 9 - 1 - 1 .
   You can also use the form to report blocked storm drains , fallen branches , and other impacts from rain and wind .
