Responsible Mechanic to inspect, repair, or overhaul trucks heavy equipment, small engines, maintain and repair any type of diesel engine. Determines the extent of repair work needed on various vehicles and notifies supervisor if work cannot be completed in house and must be contracted out. Receives and responds to road service calls. Performs related tasks to support daily operations; prepares and maintains various maintenance records; picks up supplies; assists in cleaning vehicles and buses. Operates and utilizes a wide variety of equipment and tools in performing duties to include wrenches, oil pumps, drill press, tire machine, and related mechanics tools.
