News Update from the Mayor
December 29 , 2023
Hello .
This is Mayor Mark Zinna with a Friday news update .
Today is Tenafly High School Graduate Edan Alexander’s 20th birthday . I would like to send our heartfelt wishes and prays for his safe return home to his family . Edan , along with others , is still being held hostage , and is not able to celebrate his birthday with his family . We are praying for their release , and we thank all those working for their safe return .
The Recycling Center will be open with regular hours this Saturday . On Sunday the Recycling Center will be open from 8:00 am to 10:00 am . Both the DPW and the Recycling Center will be closed on Monday January 1st .
The Nature Center trails are open all weekend for your enjoyment . The Visitors Center will be closed on Monday , January 1 , but the trails will be open and admission is waived . All end of year donations are welcome . Check out the new

Stand Up for the Arts at the Kaplen JCC on Saturday , February 10th at 7 pm . This fun evening will feature Michael Rapaport with special guests , Sarge the Comedian and others! Laughter isn’t just entertainment; it’s a healing force . This is going to be an incredible evening you won’t want to miss!
