Canton’s Planning Services Division is in the process of updating Canton’s Comprehensive Master Plan and are looking for interested residents , property owners , and business owners to serve on the Master Plan Advisory Board . The Advisory Board will be comprised of 12 – 15 persons and will advise the Planning Commission and Township Board on topics ranging from corridors and intersections , housing and neighborhoods , environmental preservation , transportation , and more .
    The Master Plan is a long - range policy document that guides the community for the next 10 – 20 years . The update is expected to take 12 – 18 months with Advisory Board members asked to participate in monthly meetings , serve as ambassadors to the plan and help with public engagement .
