Make an Impact , Serve on a Town Committee
The Town of Arlington is seeking individuals to serve as members of several committees covering a variety of subjects . By serving on a Town committee , you ' ll make a valuable contribution to the community and meet other residents who strive to make Arlington a better community for all . Human Rights Commission
The Commission focuses on eliminating prejudice , intolerance , bigotry , unlawful discrimination , threats , coercion , and intimidation on the basis of an individual’s race , ethnicity , color , religious views , national origin , sex , gender identity or expression , citizenship , age , ancestry , family/marital status , sexual orientation , disability , source of income , and military status in the Town of Arlington . Potential commissioners who have a passion for human rights issues attend each monthly meeting with an eagerness to participate .

Disability Commission
The Commission is currently recruiting for Commissioner vacancies and seeking forward - thinking , action - oriented candidates to help them move forward with new and existing priorities . The Commission works towards full integration and participation of people with disabilities in Arlington , by providing information , guidance , and technical assistance to individuals , groups , and organizations .
