   POSITION SUMMARY
   San Miguel County is seeking a positive, ethical, customer service oriented Maintenance Technician/Carpenter responsible for all day-to-day facilities maintenance, planned building maintenance and grounds keeping duties in several locations throughout the County including, but not limited to: the Miramonte Building, the West Wing Building, Second Chance, the Food Bank, rear sheds, the San Miguel County Courthouse and surrounding grounds (i.e. the Galloping Goose Park), the San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office and Jail as well as all facilities and structures. Additionally, the position will be responsible for all day-to-day facilities maintenance, planned building maintenance and grounds keeping duties for the County’s historic structures including Fort Peabody, the Lewis Mill and the Matterhorn Mill. Maintenance and carpentry duties may also include assisting with maintenance activities at County facilities in Norwood, including, but not limited to: the Glockson building, the Fairgrounds/Regional Park and the County rental home. 
   The position will report directly to and receive daily direction and supervision from the Facility Maintenance Carpenter and will be compensated at $22.36 per hour. As a full-time position, the Maintenance Technician/Carpenter will be eligible for all County-sponsored insurance and benefit plans.
