    ( Brooksville , FL ) –
    Pursuant to the Hernando County ' s Ordinance CH15 , Art X , to ensure that all properties located within the County that have a defaulted mortgage are maintained and in compliance with all applicable codes , they must be registered .
    
   On January 18 , 2024 , Hernando County Government contracted with MuniReg LLC , a third - party company , to administer the County ' s mortgage default registry .
   Effective February 13 , 2024 , all registrations must go through MuniReg . To register a property online , please visit:
