STEAMBOAT SPRINGS , COLORADO - June 13 , 2022 -
The City of Steamboat Springs and the Steamboat Springs Chamber is preparing for the festivities surrounding the annual Fourth of July Parade , sponsored by Yampa Valley Bank , and the 119
Annual Cowboys’ Roundup Days , which will result in closing several roads to accommodate the events .
As a reminder , the evening night fireworks show is not taking place this year
. The following outlines the anticipated closures for the July 4
Parade and other potential impacts for planned parade day events .
FOURTH OF JULY PARADE - YAMPA STREET , July 4
Yampa & Several Side Streets Closed from 6:30AM to 2PM
The parade moves back to Yampa Street this year and the riverside roadway and several side streets between 12
Streets will be closed from 6:30AM to around 2PM . In addition , the 5
Street Bridge will also be CLOSED for the duration of the event . Residents in the Brooklyn Neighborhood or individuals interested in accessing Howelsen Ice Complex or the ski area will need to utilize River Road to Mt . Werner Rd .
Float staging will take place on 10
, and 12
Streets . Steamboat Springs Fire Rescue and Search & Recue will be positioned on 9
Street between Lincoln and Yampa . The announcer stage broadcasts from the corner of 8
Street & Yampa . Nordic Combined athletes speed out of the starting gate at 9:15 for a running race ( U12 - 14 ) and the roller ski event ( U16+ ) at 9:30am , followed by the parade at 10AM . The parade heads east along Yampa Street from 9
Streets . Spectators should line up along either side of Yampa Street to enjoy the signature event , which features more than 40 entries .
The city encourages people to walk , bike or take the free SST bus , which will see additional buses running before the parade . If driving , additional parking is available at Howelsen Hill Ski Area , Howelsen Ice Complex , Rodeo Arena or at the Stockbridge Transit Center . Lincoln Avenue will remain open to traffic as well as on street parking .

LION’S CLUB PANCAKE BREAKFAST - Little Toots Park , July 4
7AM to 11:30 AM
Starting with a 7AM set up time , the annual Ski Town Lions Club will start heating up the griddle in Little Toots Park for the traditional Pancake Breakfast . The club will be serving up hot cakes , sausages , coffee , and beverages at a great price to get the morning off to an explosive start from 8am to 10:30am . You’ll be fueled and ready to go the entire day after this traditional home - cooked breakfast delight .
JUMPING & JAMMING

Increased Pedestrian Activity & NO PARKING along Howelsen Parkway
Watch Steamboat Springs’ and the nation’s premier Ski Jumping and Nordic Combined athletes as they soar up to 225 feet over the crowd off the summer ski jumps! This is your chance to watch some of the best in the US right here in the Yampa Valley . The elimination ski jumps start at 11am and the competition gains in excitement with the final rounds in the early afternoon before crowning the overall winner around 2pm . Be sure to bring a chair or blanket and a shade umbrella to claim your spot on the grass for the fun event that runs from 11am to 2pm! You can also check out the ski jumping competition from 9 to noon on July 3 .

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS TRANSIT SERVICE – July 4
Ride the Free Bus
SST will operate additional service during the parade on Monday . Extra buses will run during normal operating hours to provide extra capacity and help move people to and from the parade . Buses will use the traditional Lincoln Avenue bus stops and between 6:40am and 8pm and buses are scheduled to depart the Stockbridge Center every 20 minutes . SST locations and times can be found at

PARKING & ALTERNATIVE ROUTES
Downtown parking is on - street , in several parking lots as well as at the Stockbridge Transit Center , Rodeo Arena , Howelsen Hill Ski Area and Ice Complex . Please respect residential access and do not block driveways . It is highly recommended that people walk , bike , take the free SST bus or utilize drop off/pick up locations on Oak Street to access events .
Due to the high volume of spectators , please be patient , alert and follow CSO directions .
