part-time
position is at the Taylor County Adult Detention Center (Jail). The hours for this position will be approximately 8:00AM to noon, Monday through Friday - 20 hours per week.
The commissary clerk fills commissary requests for goods from inmates in a timely manner. Regular, dependable attendance is required for this job.
This position maintains sufficient stock, places stock orders, and keeps all transaction records of inmate requests for commissary. This position keeps an accurate count and inventory of all stores and goods and ensures all commissary requests are processed and ready for distribution by the Commissary Officer. This position also performs other duties, in accordance with the supervisor's requests and assignments.
All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED. Applicants must be detail-oriented and have good organizational skills.
While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Qualified applicants will also be subject to an extensive criminal history and background investigation and a drug screening prior to employment

Must be a U.S. citizen.

Starting Salary: $16.00 per hour + retirement
