INSPECTIONS TECHNICIAN
City of Eau Claire, WI
Do you have construction industry knowledge? Excellent customer service skills? Office and front counter experience? Do you enjoy working in a team-oriented environment? Join us as the Inspections Technician in our Community Development Department. This position has a variety of specialized job duties and will leave you feeling like you have made a difference at the end of each day. Job duties include: operating and maintaining the department’s custom permitting software and permit issuance process; providing office support services and front-line customer communications; assisting inspectors in daily data entry projects; assisting the public with locating property on zoning maps; and more!
Candidates must have a High School diploma or equivalent (GED, etc.). An Associate’s degree in a related field is preferred. The ideal candidates will also have previous clerical experience; be willing to learn about the department and municipal operations; have excellent computer skills; possess the ability to multitask and the ability to take direction; and have construction knowledge.
Wage range: $21.05 to 24.52 per hour, plus excellent fringe benefits.
