The Village of Grafton, a full-service community (+/-12,000 pop.), is seeking an energetic and dynamic professional to fill the newly created role of Human Resources Generalist for our growing organization. Currently, the Village of Grafton has more than 80 regular full-time and part-time employees with a broad range of tenure, 68 paid-on-call Firefighters, and a varying number of seasonal employees that comprise its workforce.
The ideal candidate will have a people-first mindset to accompany their professional/educational background in human resources, enjoy problem-solving, building relationships, and has a deep curiosity for how personnel functions may be handled more efficiently. This position will require critical thinking and analysis of human resources and payroll functions. Excellent communication skills are a must as you will be a liaison to Village departments for employee process/policy questions as well as having exposure to special projects such as website and social media assignments. Essential responsibilities are set forth in the attached job description.
The Village of Grafton offers a competitive benefits package including health insurance and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System. Starting salary is dependent on qualifications within the pay range of $52,722 to $71,307.
