Starting Salary: $47,595.80 / $22.88/hr.
Pay Grade Z-21
Non-Exempt

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or closely related field preferred. A minimum of three (3) years of progressive job-related experience in human resources, professional development, or training development. An equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be related to the foregoing requirements may be substituted
.
Must be able to demonstrate strong communication skills both orally and in writing, problem-solving, highly organized, accuracy, professionalism, and complete work independently when required.
Florida Records Management certification, or obtain within six (6) months of employment. Florida Public Human Resources Association (FPHRA) certification and Professional Human Resources certification, or obtain within three (3) years of employment.
Technical experience requires the ability to utilize a computer with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook).
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Work is performed under the direct supervision of the HR/Risk Management Director. Performs advanced professional administrative, technical, planning, and organizing functions of Human Resources and Risk. Participates in the development of various programs, talent acquisition, retention, employee training, and risk management functions. Performs related duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Select candidate will have a background check completed and a physical exam before employment. Possession and maintenance of a current valid State of Florida driver license is also required.

The compensation package will start at the base salary range. The City of Zephyrhills has an excellent benefit package, which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and Florida Retirement System (FRS).
