$47,595.80-$66,293.80
Starting Salary: $47,595.80 / $22.88/hr.
Pay Grade Z-21

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Risk Management, Public Administration, or closely related field. A minimum of four (4) years’ of progressive job-related experience in Human Resources or Risk Management experience with two (2) of those four (4) years’ employed within the public sector, preferably. An equivalent combination of education, training
and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities and other competencies necessary for success in this position directly related to the foregoing specific requirements may be substituted. Florida Records Management certification, or obtain within six (6) months of employment. Florida Public Human Resources Association (FPHRA) certification, or obtain within three (3) years of employment. Professional Human Resources certification, or obtain within three (3) years of employment.
Technical experience requires the ability to utilize a computer with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel and Outlook). Must have strong communication skills, problem-solving, initiative, professionalism, and accuracy.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Work is performed under the general supervision of the Human Resources/Risk Management Director. Provides advanced professional administrative, technical, planning, and organizing functions of Human Resources. Participates in the development of various programs, talent acquisition and retention, employee training, and risk management functions. Performs related duties as assigned.
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Select candidate will have a background check completed and a physical exam before employment. Possession and maintenance of a current valid State of Florida driver license is also required.

The compensation package will start at the base salary range and may vary based on proven abilities of the individual selected. The City of Zephyrhills has an excellent benefit package, which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and Florida Retirement System (FRS).
