☷How patients can register today with MHS GENESIS in preparation for June 11 2022 launch

WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE , N . M . ( April 26 , 2022 ) The McAfee Army Health Clinic at White Sands Missile Range ( WSMR ) will be transitioning to MHS GENESIS , a new electronic health record for the Military Health System , on June 11 , 2022 . MHS GENESIS will provide a single source for medical and dental records for service members , veterans , and their family members . This modernization of electronic health records equips patients with a safer and more efficient continuity of care , regardless of where they are receiving treatment within the Military Health System . The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is a secure website that will provide 24/7 secure access to personal health information , lab results , prescription refills , secure messages with care teams , completing e - visits with their doctors , and educational content on how to improve their health . This new website will replace TRICARE Online after the records transfer using the same DS Logon at: identitymanagement: Consent to Monitor ( osd . mil ) Patients can also access their online health record by using a Common Access Card ( CAC ) or DFAS account credentials . Those with DS Logon , CAC , or DFAS will have immediate access to the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal and the functionality that comes with it . While patients will be able to view their health information , they will not have the ability to make appointments through the GENESIS Portal until launch . How to register Access patient portal at: DS Logon - Login ( osd . mil ) You can do this through your CAC , or by setting up a free , Premium account with a user name and password . As the clinic transitions to MHS GENESIS , patients can expect to see an increase in wait times and a reduction in available appointments as healthcare teams adapt office and clinic practices to new , standardized workflows . Based on industry averages , and the DOD’s experience , it takes roughly 90 days for healthcare teams to adjust to the new system and return to normal wait times . During this time , emergency care will not be compromised and patients are recommend to get their routine radiology appointments taken care of early to avoid extended wait times . Beneficiaries are encouraged to register for access to the new Patient Portal if they have not used DS Logon previously .
