   Homicide Investigation
    
    ( Fayetteville , NC ) – The male victim in the Time Saver shooting succumbed to his injury and was pronounced deceased at Cape Fear Valley Hospital .
    
   The victim has been identified as Donte Lucas ( black male , 36 years old ) . His family has been notified .
    
   Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit have assumed the investigation . Anyone with information on the investigation is asked to contact Detective J . Bergamine at 910 - 705 - 2093 .

   Shooting Investigation
    
    ( Fayetteville , NC ) – Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department’s Aggravated Assault Unit are investigating a shooting that occurred in the 5500 block of Murchison Road .
    
   On February 14 , 2024 at approximately 6:57 p . m . , officers with the Fayetteville Police Department responded to the Time Saver on Murchison Road to a report of a shooting . Upon arriving on scene , officers located one male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head . The victim was transported to Cape Fear Valley Hospital with life - threatening injuries .
