   Watertown , CT – February 9 , 2024
   Guernseytown Road is currently being reconstructed utilizing a 100% State Grant .
   Work Starting Next Week
   Additional drainage work will be placed under Guernseytown Road from Monday February 12
   thto Wednesday February 14
   th
    , 2024 .   A portion of the road will be one lane with traffic control officers to alternate the traffic .   You may also seek alternate routes to avoid this area .
   Work Starting at the End of February 2024
   To enhance the environmental quality of Watertown Streams and Rivers a large Hydrodynamic Separator is scheduled to be installed on this project .    To install this on Guernseytown Road it is anticipated that the road will be closed from Thursday February 29th , 2024 , until March 28th , 2024 .
   All residents will have access to their homes .   The specific location of the road closure is as follows; closed north of West Road at 629 Guernseytown and south of Crestview Dr at 641 Guernseytown Road .   Residents 629 and below will need to go south to get to Route 6 and residents 641 and above will need to utilize Platt Road to get to Route 6 .  
   It is anticipated that this work will require blasting of ledge rock and a specialized large manhole that will need to be installed with a crane at this location .
