The Wolf Creek Greenway is temporarily closed under Route 24/Washington Avenue while VDOT repairs a roadway bridge over the greenway .  A recent vehicle crash resulted in extensive damage to the bridge .  Repair work is currently underway and is anticipated to conclude by January 12 .  Safety measures have been installed to close the greenway and signs have been posted to alert the public .  Flagging and/or lane closures may be needed along Washington Avenue to facilitate construction .
