The Palm Beach Police Department is once again reminding the community that unregistered/unlicensed golf carts are not allowed to be driven on the public roadways within the Town . Properly equipped street - legal golf carts may be registered as Low - Speed Vehicles ( LSV ' s ) , affixed with a license plate and driven by a validly LICENSED DRIVER on public roadways .
   Unlicensed minor drivers are an unacceptable life safety hazard to themselves and others . Drivers and parents of unlicensed minor drivers are subject to citations , and golf carts/LSV ' s may be impounded .
   Please help keep our roadways and our community ' s children safe by reporting unsafe and illegal activity to the Palm Beach Police Department at 561 - 838 - 5454 or 911 in an emergency .
