The State of North Dakota is working to get the lead out of the state’s drinking water pipes and the City of Beach and its residents are being called upon to help .
Beach’s city staff are working with AE2S , an engineering consultant , to determine if there is lead in any of the public water infrastructure that delivers water to properties . We will soon ask for your help to identify whether your home or business has lead pipes . It will be a simple test and survey that will take less than 10 minutes to complete . If lead is found within the City’s public pipes or in private property , we will work with the State of North Dakota to seek funding to remove and replace lead infrastructure .
Please look for a letter in January 2024 with information about testing your pipe and completing the survey . We need everyone’s assistance to accomplish this important task! The City of Beach is committed to partnering with the community to ensure our water is lead - free .
Funding for this project is provided through a contractual agreement between the North Dakota Department of Environmental Quality Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and AE2S .
