Genesee County , MI - -
   As part of our focus on creating healthy , livable and safe communities for our residents , Genesee County contracts with the Disability Network to provide temporary and permanent ramps to seniors in need .  
   Rose Hendrickson , a resident of the City of Burton , recently had her permanent ramp installed .  
   “This ramp helps with quality of life and getting into my vehicle , ” she said .
   Another Burton resident , Salvador Narcio , is also a recent recipient of a permanent ramp at his home .  
   “I ' m unable to go up and down stairs , " he said . "I mostly use a walker or a wheelchair . My spouse has a hard time getting me up and down the stairs to go to the doctor .
   Thanks to programs like the
   Senior Millage Ramp Program
    , the quality of life for members of our senior community can be transformed .
