JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, provides clerical and administrative support to the fleet maintenance division. Maintains all fleet maintenance files and records. Monitors and purchases fuel and supplies as needed. Performs a variety of clerical task within the area of assignment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Enter data into a computer from various sources including vehicle records, fuel and oil transactions and related documents; input corrections and updates; verify data for accuracy and completeness; compile reports.
- Operate a variety of office equipment including copier, facsimile machine, and computer; input and retrieve data and text; organize and maintain disk storage and filing.
- Distribute or file computer printouts; perform various clerical duties in support of assigned functions.
- Prepare maintenance requisitions; prepare quotes from vendors and fill out purchase orders.
Ability to learn new software systems.
- Orders vehicle parts, equipment and supplies as needed per order.
- Monitors gas pumps and reorders gas as needed.
- Participate in routine record keeping duties.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence.
- Responsible for the efficient and safe operation, care and appearance of assigned equipment.
- Follows written and oral job instructions.
- Uses good judgment to work safely and use equipment properly.
- Hears clearly and interprets hand signals when working around equipment using proper safety precautions.
- Maintain appropriate uniform appearance and personal hygiene.
- Work in shop environment with exposure to noise, dust, grease, smoke, fumes and gases.
- Walk, sit, stand, squat or bend for extended periods of time while performing job duties.
- Carry, drag, hold, lift, push or pull up to 50 pounds.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Perform a variety of special projects as assigned.
- Performs related duties and responsibilities as required
- Works overtime hours as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, DEGREES, CERTIFICATES, AND/OR LICENSE:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED). Possession of an appropriate valid Texas driver's license and a good driving record.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Two years of general clerical experience. Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods, and computer equipment. Basic principles of record keeping. English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation. Methods and procedures of data entry and principles of accounting. Type at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
STARTING SALARY
$ 12.76
Hour .
