The City of Worthington is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Finance Specialist in the Finance Department. This position is responsible for all payroll functions, including distributing biweekly payroll, associated deductions, and reporting, as well as administering the City's timekeeping system. Other duties will include grant management and backup for accounts payable functions.
   The ideal candidate will possess payroll knowledge and experience, experience with Kronos timekeeping systems, and the ability to work well with all City departments and staff.  This individual should be detailed orientated, able to review and evaluate data to ensure compliance with labor contracts, codes, laws, and regulations and is eager to be a part of the Worthington Finance team.  
   Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in finance, business, public administration, or closely related field, preferred; or equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities of the position.
   Three years of work experience processing payroll, preferred.
   This is a fulltime, classified position with a salary range of $61,152-$76,974 and an excellent benefit package.
