Town of Clinton is seeking a seasoned professional looking to make a positive impact to serve as Finance Director. This position is highly responsible, performing professional, administrative and technical accounting, treasury and finance functions.
The selected candidate will report directly to the Town Manager.
Ideal candidates must possess the skills necessary to manage accounting and reporting, financial planning and analysis, budgeting, grant administration and debt service. Responsible for management of finance department staff (3 FTEs). Candidates must be able to communicate complex financial information to a wide variety of audiences and
be able to handle interactions with considerable tact and professionalism
. Municipal finance experience preferred.
BA in accounting required, Master’s preferred with minimum of 5 years of municipal finance work including 2 years in a supervisory role. Salary commensurate with experience in an anticipated range of $140,000 - 145,000 and excellent benefits package.
