   The Feed FiDO locations are out of service until we have a thaw and access can be assured for the collection company to empty the containers .
   We ask that residents do not add any more food scraps until they see that there is room in the barrel inside the metal container . Overfilling the containers can threaten the program . Please help us keep the area tidy .

On January 10 , 2024 the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority ( MWRA ) reported several Sanitary Sewer Overflow ( SSO ) that impact Arlington . The SSOs occurred at the following locations:  Mystic River from Lake View Terrace at Mystic Valley Parkway ( from 6:27AM - 1:30PM )   Alewife Brook from Alewife Brook Pump Station Discharge Side ( from 6:55 AM - 6:55AM )   The Health Department strongly advises residents and their pets not to swim or stand in the water as there may be increased health risks due to bacteria or other pollutants associated with urban stormwater runoff and SSO discharges .
