The February 27 , 2024 Presidential Primary Election is scheduled to determine the nominees for the Democrat and Republican Parties for the Office of the President of the United States .

The 2024 Presidential Primary is a closed primary , consistent with the elections of 2012 , 2016 , and 2020 . Michigan Election Law mandates that voters intending to partake in the February 27 , 2024 Election must opt for either a Democrat or Republican ballot when voting absentee or at the polls on Election Day . Despite the requirement to choose a specific ballot , it ' s important to note that Michigan ' s voter registration system does not require political party registration .

An absentee ballot drop box is situated at the front entrance of the Township Administration Building , 6201 W . Michigan Ave , Ann Arbor , MI 48108 , and is accessible 24 hours a day . Additionally , a second absentee ballot drop box is now positioned at the front entrance of the Township Community Center , 701 W Ellsworth Road , Ann Arbor , MI 48108 , and is also available 24 hours a day . Completed absentee voter ballots may also be delivered to the Clerk’s Office , located in the Township Administration Building , during regular business hours from 8:00 a . m . to 5:00 p . m .
For your convenience , the Clerk ' s Office will be open on Saturday , February 24 , 2024 from 8:00 a . m . to 4:00 p . m . to issue absent voter ballots in person . Absent Voter Ballots will remain available at the Clerk’s Office until Monday , February 12 , 2024 at 4:00 p . m . To ensure processing by the Absent Voter Counting Board , all absentee ballots must be received by the Clerk’s Office no later than 8:00 p . m . on Election Day .
Early Voting
Early Voting is in effect for the February 27 , 2024 Presidential Primary . In 2024 , Michigan voters will have the opportunity to participate in three major elections . Beginning in February , voters can cast their ballots early in - person for nine full days leading up to each major election—a first in the state ' s history . Early Voting sites will be operational across the county , allowing voters to cast and have their ballots counted in - person before Election Day . Pittsfield Township has collaborated with the Washtenaw County Clerk’s Office to offer early voting services .
Pittsfield voters can visit either of the two early voting sites listed below from February 17 through February 25 between 9:00 a . m . and 5:00 p . m . to cast their vote ahead of the February 27 , 2024 Presidential Primary:

Washtenaw County Learning Resource Center , 4135 Washtenaw Ave , Ann Arbor , MI , 48108
Note that traditional methods of casting a ballot , such as voting absentee or in - person on Election Day , remain available .

Precincts 8 & 9: Arab American Cultural Center , aka Pittsfield Acres Academy - 4377 Textile Road , Ypsilanti , MI 48197
All polling locations are designed to be accessible to voters with disabilities , and they are equipped with voter assist terminals . Additionally , Braille and audio instructions are provided at all polling locations to ensure inclusivity .
Voter Registration
The final day to register to vote through any method other than in - person with the local clerk is Monday , February 12 , 2024 . Following this deadline , individuals eligible to register as electors have the option to register in - person with proof of residency ( MCL 168 . 492 ) at the Pittsfield Township Clerk ' s Office , located at 6201 W . Michigan Avenue , Ann Arbor , MI 48108 . The in - person registration times are as follows:
Regular business hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 a . m . - 5:00 p . m .
Saturday , February 24 , 2024 from 8:00 a . m . - 4:00 p . m .
