RICHARDSON POLICE DEPARTMENT
   On February 12 , 2024 , at 1:15 a . m . , the Richardson Police Department responded to a crash in the 100 block of N . Central Expressway .
   The driver of a Lexus sedan was driving north when he struck the center concrete divider . After the collision , the driver and passenger exited the disabled Lexus . A second crash occurred when the driver of a Honda sedan , traveling north , struck the Lexus , causing it to spin and hit the passenger , who was standing in the roadway .  
   The passenger died at the scene and has been identified as 32 - year - old , Abed - Isaac Pierre from Florida . Both drivers were transported to the hospital with non - life - threatening injuries .  
   The Special Crash Investigation Team is continuing with the investigation .
