Notice of Public “Needs” Hearing
   Durham FY 2024 - 2025 Annual Action Plan
   December 18 , 2023 – 7:00 P . M .

   A Public Hearing will be held by the Durham City Council to receive citizen comments on the “Needs” in Durham neighborhoods .  It is envisioned that these “Needs” will be addressed through the use of federal Community Development Block Grant ( CDBG ) , HOME Investment Partnerships Program ( HOME ) Consortium , Emergency Solutions Grant ( ESG ) , and Housing Opportunities for Persons With AIDS ( HOPWA ) funds , as to be contained in the upcoming FY 2024 - 2025 Annual Action Plan .  
   The U . S . Department of Housing and Urban Development ( HUD ) has not yet notified the City of final entitlement amounts for FY 2024 - 2025 .   For planning purposes , the City expects to receive approximately $2 , 030 , 000 in CDBG , $1 , 300 , 000 in HOME Consortium , $180 , 000 in ESG , and $1 , 060 , 000 in HOPWA funds .  
   The Public Hearing is scheduled on Monday , December 18 , 2023 , at 7:00 P . M . during the Durham City Council Meeting . Durham stakeholders interested in providing public comments on the “Needs” in Durham neighborhoods for the FY 2024 - 2025 Annual Action Plan should follow the City of Durham’s Public Comment Instructions .
