POSITION TITLE:
   Executive Assistant (Police)

   SALARY RANGE:
   Starting Salary: $37,477.80 / $18.01/hr.
   Pay Grade Z-16 / Non-Exempt
   MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
   High school diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing high-level administrative duties. Associate degree from an accredited college or university preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be directly related to the foregoing specific requirements may be substituted. Thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, computer programs and use of office equipment. Typing proficiency required. Must have the ability to follow directions and be alert to details. Must be highly organized, complete work accurately and work independently when required. Must have capacity to prioritize multiple tasks and deal effectively with supervising personnel, co-workers, other agencies, and the public. Applicant must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
   BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: 
   Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Police Chief. Provides administrative support and services to department personnel and visitors. Performs a variety of complex clerical work. Assists with budget preparation and account management. Maintains filing systems and responds to public records requests. Assists with review and processing of department payroll. Performs related duties as assigned.
   EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: 
   Select candidate will have a background check completed and a physical exam before employment. Possession and maintenance of a current valid State of Florida driver license is also required.

   The compensation package will start at the base salary range and may vary based on proven abilities of the individual selected. The City of Zephyrhills has an excellent benefit package, which includes medical, dental, life insurance, and Florida Retirement System (FRS).
