In order to make a necessary repair to the 12 - inch water main on Jefferson Blvd . , the City of Hagerstown Water Division will be shutting down the water main between Indian Lane and Sun Valley Drive to facilitate the repair .
    
   Customers located in the highlighted zone on the attached map should prepare for a reduction in water pressure or a potential loss of water while the repair is being performed .  Any customer who experiences discoloration in their supply should allow the cold water ( and cold water only ) to run until the water clears . In the event that the water does not clear , customers are encouraged to call the Water Distribution office at 301 - 739 - 8577 , extensions 680 and 690 , during normal working hours .  After hours , customers should call 301 - 223 - 7424 .  
    
   The amount of time estimated to complete the repair is 12 hours . Updates will be provided on the work’s progress as they become available .
