ELLENSBURG , Wash .  
   —   The City of Ellensburg is accepting applications from persons wishing to be considered to fill a vacancy on the City Council - Position 3 . The seat was previously held by Adam Winn who resigned in December 2023 . The unexpired term ends December 31 , 2025 . The City Council will appoint a qualified person to fill Position 3 until a qualified candidate is elected at the next election at which a member of the City Council would normally be elected , which will be November 2025 .

   onlineor at City Hall , 501 North Anderson Street , Ellensburg , Washington 98926 .
   Required qualifications:
   Registered voter of the City of Ellensburg , and
   A resident of the City of Ellensburg for at least one year preceding the date of appointment .
   Applications are due by Monday , February 5 , 2024 , at 5:00 p . m . Late applications will not be accepted . Applicant introduction/interviews are scheduled to take place at a Special City Council meeting on Monday , February 12 , 2024 , beginning at 6:00 p . m .    Each person taking office as a member of the city council shall , from and after the commencement of the regular term of such council member position , receive as compensation $500 . 00 per month .
