The City of Edmond is aware that cellular companies are currently experiencing outages . If you ' re affected , you should know that the SOS function on your phone will automatically call 911 . Edmond dispatch has been receiving an influx of calls from citizens who are not aware of this . Do not use SOS unless you need emergency services . If your phone does not have service at this time , in addition to the SOS function , you should also be able to dial 911 .
