‘Diamonds and Denim’ theme sets fun evening
MURPHY ( January 4 , 2024 ) The father - daughter relationship is one of the most precious and unique connections that exist , characterized by love , trust , and companionship , built on the foundation of mutual understanding and support . To celebrate that special bond , the City of Murphy is hosting the eighth annual Daddy Daughter Dance on Saturday , Feb . 3 .
“Our theme this year is Diamonds and Denim , and we’re hoping that attendees will have fun getting into the spirit by mixing their wardrobe with both glittery and rugged , ” says Murphy Recreation Specialist Lauren Mitchell . “Our theme will give fathers and daughters a chance to dress both ‘up and down’ giving a true Diamonds and Denim flair to our event . ”
The event will be highlighted by a deliciously festive charcuterie spread , tasteful dancing , plentiful refreshments , and fun activities like crafts , karaoke , and various prizes . Raffles will be held throughout the evening .
The highly popular event is set for Saturday , Feb . 3 from 6 to 9 p . m . at the Murphy Community Center , 205 North Murphy Road . The cost is $35 for a father and daughter couple , and $15 for each additional daughter . While there is no limit to the number of daughters per family who can participate , daughters are limited to 21 years of age and under .

Then , clicking on the Daddy Daughter Dance link and logging on to register will complete the process . Registration applies to daughters only , as the participation of the father is assumed . The event sells out early each year with only a limited number of tickets available .
