TITLE: DPS ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY
(FULL TIME)

GENERAL SUMMARY: Performs a variety of secretarial and administrative support functions including working closely with the Director to prepare board agenda items, formulating and submitting regulatory and administrative reports, preparing departmental budgets, drafting correspondence, assisting builders and contractors with detailed information regarding the sewer system, issuing sanitary sewer permits, and maintaining the accounting records associated with sewer construction projects. Oversees the preparation of purchase orders, claims, payroll and collection system maintenance records.
EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Possession of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Prefer Associate’s Degree or coursework in accounting or office management.
Experience: Three years of progressively more responsible secretarial experience with accounting responsibility and Microsoft Office.
PROBATIONARY PERIOD: 12 months
2024 SALARY RANGE: (Pay Grade 6) $24.36 - $29.24
HOURS TO BE WORKED: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. - Monday - Friday
