Who is eligible for the Curbside Pick - Up for Bulk Items?
Residents who pay a garbage/recycle fee on their property taxes and receive garbage collection services thru the City contractor , GFL Environmental .
How can I request a Curbside Pick - Up?
PRIOR TO PLACING ANY MATERIAL IN THE CITY RIGHT - OF - WAY
, property owners/residents
MUST SCHEDULE
an annual curbside pick - up by:
Calling ( 414 ) 769 - 2216 OR ,
Filling out the online fillable curbside pick - up form

**All submissions will be confirmed via Return Email from DPW - IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE CONFIRMATION FROM DPW , WE DID NOT RECEIVE YOUR REQUEST
and YOUR
PICKUP WILL NOT BE SCHEDULED; Please re - send or call DPW ( 414 - 769 - 2216 ) to ensure receipt of request**
What Information is needed when scheduling a Curbside Pick - Up?
Resident must provide Name , Phone # , Address & a Description of Items anticipated to be placed curbside .
Resident
MUST
consent that they understand the program requirements
AND
are liable for any cost for the disposal of
any
item ( s ) exceeding program limitations . Please see list of accepted items below .
When can Items be picked up?
Curbside Pick Up only occurs once a week on
THURSDAYS
. Reservations
MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN NOON ON TUESDAY
to be included on the Thursday Pickup Route . Curbside Pick - Ups are available for scheduling during the following timeframes:
April 1st—December 1st ,
Items must be placed at the curb by 6:00am the day of the scheduled pick - up , but no earlier than 4:00pm the day prior to the scheduled pick - up ,
Requests will not be scheduled more than two ( 2 ) weeks in advance ,
No pick - ups will be scheduled during Holiday Weeks .
Items NOT ALLOWED Curbside , but ACCEPTED at Drop Off Site:
Yard waste , branches , shrubs , brush , logs , firewood , stumps & root balls ,
Concrete , pavers , brick & soil ,
Cardboard & other recycling materials ,
Items / appliances containing freon , i . e . refrigerators , dehumidifiers and air conditioners ,
Motor oil ,
ANY metal
OR
cast - iron items ,
E - waste , i . e . TV ' s , electronics , computers and cell phones ,
Household hazardous waste items , i . e . oil - based pants and varnishes , pesticides , aerosol cans ,
Tires
Material containing asbestos or asphalt ,
Hot tubs , pools or bathtubs ,
No item exceeding 150 pounds allowed ,
Long Items
CANNOT EXCEED
length of 4 feet .
Where should Items be placed?
Pick - Ups will
ONLY
be collected at the street side of the property ,
No Alleys .
All materials
MUST
be placed between the public sidewalk and curb/roadway .
If there is no curb , materials must be placed as close to the street pavement as possible .
Material placement MUST NOT block or impede the public sidewalk or roadway .
Parameters for Curbside Pick - Up
7 cubic yard Maximum , i . e . ( 6 ) Queen Mattresses / Box Springs , ( 2 ) Sofas plus a couple End Tables OR ( 4 ) Dressers ,
Items placed out too early will be removed by the City AND property owner will be charged the abatement cost ,
Items not collected due to exceeding limits or not allowable for collection shall be removed by property owner within 24 hours of scheduled pick - up
OR
items will be removed by the City
AND
property owner will be charged the abatement cost .
All Loose Items MUST be placed in a 32 - gallon container .
Building materials MUST be placed in a 32 - gallon container ( Insulation , tile , etc . ) .
