The Credit Manager position will perform the following duties:
   Periodic credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the credit worthiness of potential customers, with the goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.
   Oversees the collection of accounts receivable maintaining DSO goal while working with sales representatives and the customers.
   Process credit reports and utilize the reports in granting terms within authorized limits to new and existing customers.
   Partnership with other departments to improve credit processes, workflows, and efficiencies.
   Manage daily deposit reconciliation and applying average daily payments to customer accounts of ~$750K.
   Manage the new customer “white glove” process – providing updates to DSM’s and upper management – focusing on first impressions with the customers.
   Assists in resolving difficult and complex account situations, ensuring that established policies, procedures, and legal requirements are met.
   Ensures appropriate legal recourse is pursued as necessary.
   Utilizes strong knowledge of Excel to create reporting that provides deeper analysis of customer account receivable balances.
   Utilizes excellent communication skills to build strong relationships with customers and sales team while creating a rapport based on trust and mutual respect.
   Provides guidance, training and coaching to employees to ensure established work performance standards are met.
   Monitors and evaluates percentage of order releases used to determine accuracy of credit limits and customer deterioration, velocity of time to release orders, and velocity needed to determine payment trend analysis including days to settle legal collections.
   Prepares monthly reports to senior management

   High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
   Team lead or supervisory experience
   Outstanding communication skills are a must
   Must be solution minded - able to evaluate risk and make proper credit decisions
   Possesses strong computer skills (i.e. Excel, working knowledge of COGNOS, SQL) with ability to export data as needed to create reports
   Accounting experience - understands financial statements - has participated in monthly close of general ledger
   Preferred Qualifications
   Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
   Experience in commercial credit and/or collections within foodservice industry
   Management experience
